Aquasnaps was formed in 2002 by Vanessa Jones.
With a background as an Austswim Instructor, Vanessa was used to helping youngsters to become familiar and comfortable in the water. From that first plunge through to swimming with confidence and on to competition, Vanessa was witness to hundreds of fledgling swimmers. However, what was missing was a visual record of these unique and unrepeatable achievements. A keen photographer, Vanessa was already doing part-time work with wedding and portrait photography and decided to marry her two passions together - photography and swimming instruction - and formed Aquasnaps.
Over more than 7 years, Vanessa has taken the Aquasnaps brand to 25 swim schools.>
Having established a reputation for excellence and a high quality service, Vanessa formalised the ‘dry-side’ arm of the business by creating A S Photography. Official photographer accreditation to the 2003 Rugby World Cup, a photo shoot with Australian International swimmer, Jason Cram, the production of a portrait calendar for 2004 and 2005 and several portrait and wedding assignments, A S Photography has further enhanced it’s reputation as a premier photographic organisation.
A S Photography offers a complete and comprehensive service to all clients. We understand how important particular moments in life are and our job is to capture those memories for all time. Whether the subject is a first time swimmer, a school or generational family portrait or an international sports star, the A S Photography objective always applies - capturing a memory for a lifetime!
